Grab Bags! [Apr. 18th, 2007|05:10 pm]
I just added some great ribbon grab bags and a collar grab bag to the site. I am pretty happy with the idea of the collar grab bag. Basically you get a really cheap collar, but you really don't know what style you're going to get. Hehe. Kinda fun in my opinion! I'm trying to get rid of as much as I can before the big move, and that includes surplus ribbon and collars. Be sure to check them out. :)

Buy my ribbons! [Aug. 26th, 2006|03:34 pm]
I've just added a brand new category to the shop: Ribbon & Fabric. This category is filled with surplus and overstock supplies at below wholesale prices. I'm not trying to make any money here - I just want to clear off my shelves and make room for new things (and you KNOW how much I love new things.) I have a few new ribbons on the way, and right now I have no room to put them.

Be sure to check out these new items. If you see something you want, act fast - only one of each is available. I'll be adding more ribbons and fabrics in the future, as I continue to sort through all of my supplies.

The Lindsay Designs 1st annual Pet Photography contest was hugely successful! I received so many amazing entries - the decision to pick the winners was extremely tough. I even added a 3rd place prize because there were just too many photos that deserved prizes! Some were precious, some hilarious, and some were pratically GQ material! We hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Without further adue, I am proud to announce the...

Totally Indie Coupons Round 3! [May. 1st, 2006|02:20 pm]
It's time for round 3 of the Totally Indie Coupons! I'm very excited to be kicking off this next round. The coupons have been so popular the last two times - how could I not be excited! If you are interested in participating, Please read through this thread completely (I know it’s a lot). It is very important that you follow the directions and submit everything necessary to participate. By doing so you’ll make my life a whole lot easier. :)

For those of you who may not know what I am talking about… the Totally Indie coupons began last spring. The idea was for a bunch of us to get together and compile sheets of coupons that we could send out with our orders (or pass out at fairs, etc. etc.)

This is what they looked like the last time around:

Unlike most promotional materials where you pay for 5,000 of your own promos which would get your name out to 5,000 people, with these coupons you are only paying for 125 pieces, yet are still getting your name out to 5,000 people. It is GREAT advertising at an AMAZING price. We will be having the coupons professionally printed on full color, double sided, 8.5"x11" fliers. 20 coupons will fit on one page (10 on the front and 10 on the back), and we will have two pages, for a total of 40 coupons. I will also be purchasing 2"x2" stickers and baggies to package your coupons. Once I receive the fliers from the printer, I'll divide them up and ship them out to all of you. Once distributed, you can do with them as you please... send them as is, fold them into brochures, or cut out each individual coupon and make your own coupon packets.

REQUIREMENTS
- Each participant will be required to purchase 250 fliers (125 each of 2 different sheets) for $38 total. This price includes the fliers themselves, stickers, baggies, paypal fees, shipping from the printer to me, and shipping from me to you ($8.05 via flat rate box). For those of you outside the US, shipping will be the actual cost of a 6 pound box (which can get quite pricey, unfortunately). If you have no need for this many sheets, feel free to send some of yours to others who may want more or to those who didn’t get a chance to participate.

What You Need to Do
- Send your completed coupon to totallyindie@lindsaydesigns.net. See below for instructions for creating your coupon.
- Send your payment of $38 via PayPal to totallyindie@lindsaydesigns.net. Please be sure to enter the address where you want the coupons sent as the shipping address in this email.

**Only the FIRST 40 PEOPLE to submit both of the above will have a spot on the fliers. Though I hate to limit how many people can participate, we only have space for 40 on the fliers. So get your files and payments in quick! If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to post or email me at totallyindie@lindsaydesigns.net.

COUPON SPECIFICATIONS
- Your coupon should be 4.25" wide by 2.2" tall, with a .125" border for bleed. So the final size of your coupon should be 4.5" wide by 2.45" tall (1350x735 pixels). Please create your coupon at 300dpi resolution in CMYK color mode (if you don’t have the option of CMYK, it’s ok. Your colors just might be a bit different when printed). You can use the following photoshop or jpeg template to create your coupon (right click and save):
http://www.lindsaydesigns.net/images/misc/coupontemplate.psd
http://www.lindsaydesigns.net/images/misc/coupontemplate.jpg

- Be sure to keep anything important inside the .125” bleed border (turquoise lines/photoshop guides). Anything outside of these lines will be cut off. If you use the jpeg, make sure to erase the lines when you're finished.

- Please make your good through the end of the year, 12/31/06. This will give us plenty of time to send out our fliers as we please.

- Please do not put a border on your coupon. The cutting process is never exact - so borders often get cut off in the process and will most likely be uneven. I will be adding dotted lines to separate the coupons, so you need not add your own border.

- Save your coupon as either a .psd, .pdf, .tiff, or a high-quality .jpg. If you send it as a .psd, be prepared to send the font files as well if I need to adjust anything.

- In the past, participants have offered coupons good for a % off, $$ off, free shipping, or a free gift with order. If you are using a PayPal or other shopping cart that does not allow you to have discount codes, the free gift may be your best option. What you decide to offer is completely up to you - but keep in mind that the better the discount the more it will entice potential customers to shop. :)

- If you would like me to design your coupon for you, I’d be happy to do so for a small fee of $20. Please email me at totallyindie@lindsaydesigns.net.

Here's to another successful round! Remember, if you need any help at all creating your coupon file or have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to email me.
